Amps for computer listeneing??

I'm new to Head-Fi,and could use some help..??

I'm trying to figure out a way of getting better sound quality from my computer, without buying a speaker system.

.AS of now,I'm using a set of Porta-Pro headphones,& find them outstanding.

Yesterday,I ordered a pair of Sennheiser hd25-1 II,,which from what I've read, on this forum are pretty good.

At some future date I will get another pair of  full size, open air headphones.

Can someone supply me with a thread,or links to..how I can start getting more power for my computer,by,maybe attaching a small portable amp /power supply.

Again,I'm a newbie about this,so,thanks for your patience.

The computer audio forum is more for full size speaker advice. Try browsing the portable headphone amp forum and you should be able to find something to your liking. The Fiio E7 amp is generally very well reviewed and it is currently on sale on amazon. In fact you can get the amp and a digital line out wire for iDevices for under $100.

I personally have a Nuforce uDac 1, which I like a lot. It makes music sound so much better and fuller, but people have said some negative things about the newer uDac 2.

When spending over $50 on any audio item I tend to read too many reviews and read too many opinions. There will always be someone who says something sounds like crap, unless you spend >$1000 and even then there can be problems. Just pick something and it will sound better than the computer.
