Sony MDR-EX50LP too much treble?

Hello,

Anyone have tried the MDR-EX50LP? I bought them recently because I need the replacement eartips. I tried them without burn-in and it feels that it has too much treble.

Any thoughts?

Thanks biggrin.gif

Hey, I've owned a set of Sony's for around 4 months now and I've also felt the treble to be a bit overdone. Other than that they are real quality earphones, and pretty damn comfortable too compared to my Sennheisers. I stepped on them a few days ago as they were dangling out of my pocket :'( but they still work.

I'm not an expert audiophile so you should probably take a look at this review:

Hope this helps :-D

Ive noticed much of the sony iems have deep punchy bass, some fat. althoug they sound good, they sometimes tend to become overly sibilant especially on metal music.
