Connection ripped from a driver side

Hi,

I was modding a set of my T50RP's and when I went to attach the driver baffle, I accidentally ripped the connection on the driver.  There was a little brown piece which was part of the sleeving on the driver that ripped off with it.  I tried putting solder back on the pad, but it wouldn't stick like it did before.  I tried everything and can't get it to make a connection no matter what.  Did I ruin it?

I dont think you ruined neither the wire nor the driver by ripping it out. Just clean up all the bits (all the plastic and such), strip the wire a bit, and resolder it. Should'nt be an issue to clean resolder.

I tried doing that, but the solder won't stick to the driver connetion point anymore.  It seems that little brown piece was part of the speaker driver somehow.  Can anyone else help?

The brown piece was part of the driver? :S It wasnt metal was it? And a fresh resolder doesnt work? Thats an odd case...

It might have been metal, I am not sure.  It was the silicone stuff from the driver.  A fresh resolder, the solder won't stick to it like it did before.

Well as long as the solder can get a firm connection to the voice coil master line or L/R splitter, then I dont see the problem :S I've never had a "brown piece" get in the way of my soldering jobs xD
