nzaudio.co.nz sells the SR125i, which is great for your genres, for $309 (which i believe is about 240 USD unless it's already listed in US currency). I'd go for it, despite the fact that it's quite expensive. You simply can't match a Grado for rock.

The HD558/598 do best with a strong DAC and amp. The M50s are more "lenient" in this regard.

I'd start with the M50's, being easier to drive.  Then eventually grab the 558's.  I have both and depending on my listening mood, I'll change it up. Some days I prefer the M50's sound, some days I prefer the 558's. 

 

The M50's are awesome for electronic music, dubstep, anything bass heavy. I love it.   The 558's give more clear open sound. With the right amp & DAC, they 558's sound amazing. I run mine from an E10 line out to CmoyBB 18v with AD8620 opamp. Sounds amazing.
