The Show Tunes Thread (A Guilty Pleasure)

Thread Starter

I've rediscovered my love of show tunes recently when I got my hands on a quality download of the Wicked soundtrack.

I'm probably in a tiny minority here on Head-fi, but they're probably my biggest guilty pleasure.

Anyone else?

Currently Listening To: Defying Gravity (Of course)

Dude. It's not a guilty pleasure. It's REAL music. cool.gif

Personally, I think that people who are stereotypically regarded as "professional" singers just sound like a bunch of hacks and wannabes compared to the actors in plays and soundtracks.

I think that actors in stage shows are better at conveying emotion than just singers. That tends to be what gets me with show tunes.
