Amp/DAC for the V-Moda M-80s

Thread Starter

I am on the verge of buying the M-80s and was just wondering whether anyone had any experience with any amps/DACs for these?

I was looking at buying the Fiio E17s when they are released but are there any other alternatives which you would suggest?

Much thanks!

Fiio E17 is an excellent choice for v-moda M80. Although E17 may not better desk top dac/amp when paired with something like DT770s.

Leckerton ones are also very good though they only offer usb and analog input.

Val, the owner of v-moda, said M80/V80 sound quite good straight out of his iPhone, so they do not need big headphone amplifier. They do improve with good dac/amp, especially if you are using them from the headphone output of a computer.

if you are looking for an all in one product that will be used as a stepping stone, the E17 should fit. it is a very unviersal brand (fiio) so should work well with the M80's. i don't have the E17 in my possesion yet, curently on route. i don't have the M80's either. it's best to look at people with M80's used with Tthe E10 or E11 to give u an idea of how good they will sound with it
