Sennheiser HD598 right side broken...

Hey, while I was listening to some music on my 598's today, I banged them against the wall and then well erm..the right side went a bit busted. The bass is completely gone and the sound sounds a bit off, anyone know what the problem is?

Thanks!

Kind of a stupid suggestion, but did you check the cable?  When the cable on my KNS-8400s is not properly secured, they lose pretty much all bass and are all distorted.  The 598s have a detachable cable, so that might be the issue.

P.S.  1000th post!  w00t!

Hey, congrats! :D

Yeah the 3.5mm end of the adapter seems a bit bent, i'll see if changing it makes a difference - thanks! :D

Voice coil out of magnet...apparatus, may cause no-bass problems. Since your jack is dented, I'm pretty sure that's the source of the problem.

Hey, it's not the jack - what would I have to do to fix the voice coil problem?
