So, I just got an iPod classic 7, and I have always been an iPod fan....But, this new has so much distortion that Im thinking about taking it back...The only time there is no distortion is on flat eq....I have tried everything! Its not my triple 10s, Ieverything ripped in lossless and I have created my own EQ presets by renaming then the stock presents names, and setting everything below 0b..and still distorting..I swear, for being a "music player" and been such poor quality in the eq department, and the sound in general is bad business...Any ideas??

Best closed headphones I had heard - very flat response, almost no midrange distortion, very easy to drive (good for portable), good soundstage (definately better than K240), good isolation, but...

Overall excellent buds, very good sound quality, especially for their price, the medium set of tips fits exactly in my ears and provides a near perfect seal. Bass is very detailed, but not...

I'll keep this very short. They are very smooth sounding. Treble toned down so not so good for rock but have a magic about them that makes them better than mark 2. I use them with a '89/'90...

First, I should note that I auditioned these both straight out of the box, without any break-in time and then later after 53 hours of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite...

That's not normal,..get it replaced ASAP. The HP out on an iPod classic is crystal clear, though there has been faulty iPod's released & having to be returned.
And BTW: The EQ presets do NOT work on the iPod, they ONLY work in the iTunes software. We've covered this before, and it's listed in the Apple iPod FAC. I no longer have the link, and I'm not gonna look for it again. Presets only work in iTunes. Search this section of the forums to see the thread on the subject,...

thanks, I could be wrong, but if you change the preset to the same name such as "Rock" it will ask you if you wan to change the preset. it seems to take on the preset when eq is placed on off on the IPOD...maybe i'm just crazy, just apple would get off their but and apply custom eq settings!!!!!!!
Also, I should have been more clear....when I listen to acoustic, alternative etc....no distortion....metal or heavier music....tons of distortion, even at low volume levels

Nope,...the setting is not transferred over to the iPod. A custom EQ setting is what we've all wanted from them, and it's the 1 thing they refuse to give us. Even being able to do a custom on the comp is blocked,...the poopheads!!! ;)
