Try and get it changed for the WIFI 4.0.
Unfortunately my local electrical store don't sell the WiFi 4.0 version. I went to the store today to get a replacement but they dont have any replacements in stock at the moment. I might have to get a refund.
I have my Galaxy S wifi 3.6 all packed up ready to go back to the shop to get refund but as a last resort I want to know how to reinstall the firmware. I have googled for an answer to no avail and I have tried connecting my Galaxy S to Kies 2.0 but all it tells me is my firmware is up to date. So no way to reinstall the firmware :(
I was wondering if anyone knew how to manually reinstall the firmware to see if that fixes the problem?
not me, but I'm sure you're much better off asking in the XDA Forum ... they deal with that every day.
I took the SGS wifi 3.6 back to the store hoping to get a replacement or refund as I only bought the PMP nearly a week ago. Anyway my hopes were shattered when I got a member of staff who had an attitude problem and she told me that I wasn't getting a refund or replacement because the packaging was open. I then told her if she could test it and she did only to come back and tell me that she thinks the PMP is working when it was obvious it wasn't. At that point I started getting irritated and frustrated so i raised my voice at her ( I wasn't swearing or anything though I was so close in swearing). She then gave me a dirty look and told me not to raise my voice so i asked if I could speak to the manager. The manager appeared and told me that he would have to take the PMP off me for further testing. I was told they would phone me by 4pm but I didn't receive any phonecall. Anyway I returned back to the store to get told the usual ******** so I asked to speak to the manager again and he finally agreed for me to get a replacement but the replacement wasn't in stock so I would have to wait until it was in stock again. I can tell you this experience has put me off shopping in Currys/PC World :(
