Only thing I know is it says on the back each speaker impedance should be 8ohms or more.
Since your budget is so low it would be advisable getting some active speakers instead of passive. Would save you the hassle of getting a pre/power amp or receiver. Look into Audioengine active speakers. Don't expect great bass or anything mind blowing at that price though.
