This is bugging me, I received my V-80's today and when I plug in the cable, there is almost always a channel imbalance (the right channel is much softer than the left channel), only until I readjust the cable by turning around I can hear both channels well.
It's frustrating, anyway around this?

Best closed headphones I had heard - very flat response, almost no midrange distortion, very easy to drive (good for portable), good soundstage (definately better than K240), good isolation, but...

Overall excellent buds, very good sound quality, especially for their price, the medium set of tips fits exactly in my ears and provides a near perfect seal. Bass is very detailed, but not...

I'll keep this very short. They are very smooth sounding. Treble toned down so not so good for rock but have a magic about them that makes them better than mark 2. I use them with a '89/'90...

First, I should note that I auditioned these both straight out of the box, without any break-in time and then later after 53 hours of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite...

Have you tried both cables? Same result?
Yeah, same result...
I'm thinking it's something to do with the female connector???

Sounds like it could be a tweaked jack? I'm assuming the sound changes when you fiddle with the headphone side. Even though it should work with the cables it came with, you could try using another standard 3.5mm to 3.5mm just to see what happens. But unfortunately it might be something loose inside too. Maybe try cleaning the plug(s)- perhaps some gunk got inside of the jack. And sometimes those jacks could get some oxidation going on inside and it might take a few turns and in-and-out cycles to clean the contact points, though this shouldn't be the case with newly manufactured headphones. I would say if after doing the above it still acts the same, send her back (or try contacting V-Moda). Where did you get them from?
