Hey all -

 

I have a question/troubleshooting thing -

 

I currently have my imac setup to play through my marantz integrated amp.  I am using the monster 1/8" to RCA adapter to get from the imac to the marantz.  

 

Everything works just fine when I play through the speakers.

 

When I plug the headphones into the amp, it removes the dialogue of movies/tv.  the ambient noises come through, but not the speech.  any thoughts on why this is happening?   

 

i would prefer to use my 1/4" headphones as they are better (so i don't want to just plug headphones directly into mac).
