Looking for a cheap headphone

Hey there,

I've been looking for a headphone since ages, but I just can't choose. Everytime I find a cool one, reviews tell me it's bad. So I'd love to get some advice/recommendations.

I'm willing to pay max. €100,- (or $130). I listen to a pretty wide range of music types. Pop, Rock, Dubstep (so bass is important), House and sometimes Classic. I don't really care about noise cancelling or design as long as soundquality and comfort are fine.

I really like Beats' quality, but it's price is too high and people told me it's price is way too high in proportion to it's quality. So if any of you know any good alternatives, please post them!

Thanks in advance (and excuse me if my English was crappy)

In that price range try the Creative Aurvana Live or Audio Technica M50.

semi-open Panasonic RP-HTF600-S

KRK KNS 8400

CALs (Creative Aurvana Live)

I think we need a sarcasm font, otherwise it just flies overhead.

Another vote for the Creative Aurvana Live!

KRK 6400 or better yet the KRK 8400 if it fits your budget

I wouldn't consider the Panasonic HTF600-S unless you were on a much more stringent budget than what you stated.  Even then, there are better choices under $40.

Excuse me, excuse me!

Its midnight over here, so I'm 20% awake.

Hmm, which one should I choose?

CAL (55 euros)

Ultrasone Hfi 580 (99 euros)

Or the KRK KNS 6400 one?

I like them all

If you want bass and can find HFi580 at 99$, go for the 580 imo.

Seconded. You can have them for a reasonable price.

What's better then the Panasonic RP-HTF600-S at $40 or less?

I prefer my Porta Pro's over the Panasonic.  As far as I'm concerned it is no contest.  And the Koss KSC75 might be another choice, though I don't like clip on headphones, and have a hard time recommending them to anyone who hasn't tried that type of headphone.

The Superlux 681's are certainly another to be considered in that price range.

I find the Panasonics completely, utterly mediocre, and are the second worst headphone I've ever owned.  They are only marginally better than an old pair of Sony MDR V150's I had.
