Up for sale is a pair of Stax SR-007 MK1 (Serial #: 71155)
I received these SR-007s as a trade with a fellow head-fier. After doing a direct comparison between them and the new SR-009, I have decided to keep the SR-009.
Although the SR-009 has more clarity, speed, and detail, the SR-007 sounds more 'musical' to my ears. If I could, I would love to keep both, but unfortunately my wife and wallet would never forgive me.
Overall, these cans and the ear pads are in excellent condition. I'd give them a conservative 8.5 / 9 out of 10 on the Audiogon scale.
Included is (1) the SR-007 Electrostatic Earspeaker, (2) original SR-007 Carrying Case with 2 sets of keys, and (3) original SR-007 Manual.
