I used to have both the stagedac and the Havana; these represent two extremes and couldn't be more different.
Stagedac: enormous soundstage with lots of depth and width, pinpoint imaging, accent on frequency extremes, deep bass, clear extended treble and lots of detail; but tonality takes a backseat, f.i. voices do not sound natural.
Havana: flat small soundstage, loose bass, midcentered, not very detailed but beautiful natural tonality.
These observations are for a speakerbased system, on headphones things like soundstage may present themselves different.
BTW, I do not miss these dacs since they are gone and have been very happy for almost a year now with my current Rega DAC, that sounds much better to my ears then everything I had before (besides the Meier and the Havana also the Audio-GD REF5DSP); that really ended my guest for a dac I could live with and afford.
