How do I know which revision I have of LCD-2?

I´ve bought LCD-2 while back, but lately I´ve learned that there are two revisions, Rev1 and the upgraded Rev2.

 

So how do I know which one I have?

The r2 comes with the ribbon-shaped ADZ-6 cable. Also has slightly thicker earpads.

There's a pretty substantial sound difference between the two that you can also spot on the graph.  If you haven't heard both though it wouldn't help you!  It doesn't help that Audeze had so many minor revisions in the r1 days.  I remember the wood changing, the cable changing, the headband changing, the blocks changing, the pads, the case, etc. etc.

To the OP, if your LCD-2 came with an ADZ-6 cable, it IS an rev2, but the first rev2 have the previous ADZ-5 cable.

Otherwise, just email Audez'e with the serial number.

s/n on rev. 1 starts with 569xxx and s/n on rev. 2 starts with 531xxx.
