listen to electronica, nu jazz & deep house.

i have found all the following to have insufficient highs:

b&w c5 - love the full soundstage, amazing bouncy bass, but no treble at all

klipsch x10i, s4i

bose mie2i

ue triplefi 10

Brainwavz B2

UE700

Hippo VB (good highs and awesome bass)

FA Silver Bullet

My recommendation would be B2, superb details, amazing highs, and awesome separation

In what ways did you find the TF10s lacking?

+1 on the B2s.

These IEMs offers extended highs and overall great soundquality like Etymotic ER4P/S, RE272, HF5, Brainwavz B2, DBA_02, CK10, RE0 and Sony EX1000.

Triplefi 10's are truly amazing sounding, highs are good, but not enough for those who like electronica.  Also, they are too heavy and require too much effort to insert and get right seal.

And which of your 'recommended list' would you say in your experience is the best match for the OP's musical taste? Surely of the ones you have there, one or two stand out for that type of music?

The most treble-focused phones I've ever owned were the Audio Technica CK10. If you do a search, you'll find quite a few posts about them.

Lots of people thought they were too focused on treble, and it did get a little too much, even for me who loves treble. So I used to ration them to no more than 2 hours at a time or else my ears would suffer. However, I didn't find it harsh at all, just wonderfully sparkly but too dominant for long periods of listening. You can get them in the UK for around £200.

My FX700's are pretty treble dominated too, but the bass is just as dominant so it doesn't stand out as much as the CK10's.

Also, make sure than any recommendations you get are based on actual user experience. You'll find people constantly recommending phones they've never heard, which isn't much help when you're looking for something specific!

Hisound Golden Crystal has more piercing treble compared to RE272. And I like that :p
