ALRIGHT THATS IT!! Thanks everyone for the helpnormal_smile%20.gif  i have decided to go for the AH-D2000's. Because the flatter base response and i already like the sound signature.

Now its time to find the right amp!

It's amazing that so many people (after reading head-fi and maybe not only) so often end up choosing Denon D2000! I have done it myself with my first headphones:)

Well... actually i've changed my mind to the pro 900's turnes out i like a little bass was just going though a flat frequency response phase.

I narrowed my search down to the D5000 vs Pro900.  I'm very happy with the Pro900 and I think you will be too.

Actually, I wouldn't call the Pro 900 a lot bassier than the Denon D2000's (I have them both). Both can go pretty low, but the Pro 900 has a faster bass with more punch. The thing is, that I don't know which ones I prefer when it comes to music with sub bass as I tend to like a slow bass with that kind of EDM and a faster bass with other forms of EDM. I guess I'm trying to say, that with d'n'b, dubstep and other sub bassy music I'd probably choose the D2000 over the Pro 900 but for rhythm based bass the Pro 900 9/10 times. It's a little weird to explain and it doesn't hold true in all cases either. I guess, all in all, they're both great cans and whether you go with the D5000 or the Pro 900 you'll be pleased. They both work well with most kinds of music.

One thing though, the D2000 is a lot more forgiving on poor audio quality than the Pro 900, and I'm guessing it's the same with the D5000. The D2000 serves me everything on a silver platter, while the Pro 900 serves me good audio on a golden platter but crap audio on a toilet seat. I hope that analogy works. When the audio quality is good the Pro 900 outshines the D2000 and when it's bad the D2000 outshines the Pro 900.

So unless you have good recorded songs (don't pay too much attention on 192/256/320 kbps mp3's or lossless formats - the differences are pretty small; I'm talking about mastering, recording, and so on), I'd suggest going back to the Denon line.

My opinions and 2 cents.

Haven't heard Pro 900, but I have a feeling you've made an even better choice.

D2000's bass is big, but appeared not to my liking, too. The soundstage in Denon is not so good either. How is it in Pro 900?

The soundstage in D2000 is actually very good. It's definitely one of the better soundstages in closed cans. The thing is, if you want a bigger soundstage you most probably will have to start looking at open cans for that.

Compared to Pro 900, I think most would say that the soundstage is bigger in D2000, but personally I think they are pretty comparable. It's not like you really think about the difference in soundstage when going from one to the other. Both are pretty good soundstage wise for closed cans. Pro 900 uses the S-Logic system which doesn't even work for some people. Those people will think the Pro 900 sounds a little weird and strange. I do believe in brain burn in for the S-logic though; while it might not work at first, it might with some time to adjust to it.
