Need advice on Beyerdynamic Dt990 PRO

I am considering buying some Beyerdynamic DT990 PRO headphones , all the reviews online seem to rave about them but I wanted to see what people thought on here.I will be using them for all general listening aswell as a bit of mixing.I have never spent anywhere near what they cost on headphones and I am really debating whether they are good enough that I should spend most of my current money on them.
Also , would a FiiO E5 amp be sufficient to burn them in and how portable are they.

The DT880s are generally considered to be more neutral.

Try this link:

thanks read quite a bit of it.
I do like alot of bass but if it effects the rest of the song too much then I may reconsider.

My purely subjective opinion is that the DT990s also have a bit of a treble boost.

But they sure sound fun!
