Recabling my Fostex t50rp's. Any Suggestions?

I'll be honest, I don't know what I'm doing, but I do know that I need a cable for my headphones. I'm looking for something 

 

around $100 like the Zysonix Xev, but you guys are the pros, so what would you recommend? Also, if anybody could direct

 

me to a good how-to guide for recabling, as well as other modding how-tos, I would be grateful.

I'm also looking at trying to sort a new cable, and whilst searching have come across a lot of thread. Second post here is really helpful:

Might be useful to you. For me, I have a couple of major issues with compatibility with my headphones that I can't figure out.
