Samsung just released a iPhone/Galaxy S dock with "Vacuum Tube Technology". I wonder what tubes they are using? I find it funny that they act like tubes are some new technology that they came up with.
Seems like its just a gimmick and i doubt that it sounds good. But it seems like audiophilia is hitting the mainstream but companies are taking advantage of people that don't know better. Hopefully the dock has a better sound than beats, at least they used nice looking wood, it does look nice though.

Don't most tube amp manufacturers already take advantage of people who don't know better? Or most amp manufacturers?

Hmm that true, too many people here think tube amps are entirely superior to solid state.

its definitely cool that samsung is trying to make a first step to bring tube gear back into the mainstream.  I wonder what kind of tube these use though, my initial thought was a 5670 due to the size, but it is very difficult to tell from the pictures.

I'll bet Samsung is using new production tubes made in Europe, or more specifically, Russia.
