What would happen if I put the drivers (senn HD595) into a custom closed headphone?

Just curious.

Allegedly, either the HD280 Pro or the HD380 or both already have that (i.e. the same or very similar driver as the HD555 and HD595). I cannot confirm if this is true, though, only read it in a forum thread earlier.

Hmm interesting, I knew they had the same drivers as the HD555. Looks like a DIY project I will attempt seeing as they arent doing much sitting around.

Cheers.

Some one have already said something about this somewhere(but I can't say it); all I can say it has been done and IMO, it sounds pretty good but not that impressive.

You can also try for yourself...since we all have different tastes. Diy its fun.

Try just cupping your hands over the mesh on the headphones to get a general idea of the sound change. If you like it, go for it. If you don't like it, go for it and see how it changes.

Ok I will go ahead with it, in a few months I will post some pics and impressions of my new closed HD595's.
