HD650 and cracks from bass?

hello.

i have a problem with my hd650 that whenever there is a fair amount of bass i hear sounds like cracking coming only from the left.

 

does anybody have such problems?? what can i do about it as i purchased it from amazon and no warranty frown.gif

It's likely a hair or dust in the driver...disassemble them and blow on the diaphragm.

Most likely(if not nearly all cases) it's a piece of hair. It could possibly be a deformation of the diaphragm(which in nearly all cases, it can be fixed by pushing diaphragm back in place/shape), but I doubt it since the driver's are pretty secure and solid unless you've taken them apart and screwed up something.

Oh god its not a hair!

i dont know how to describe it but the bubble thingy that is over the driver has been pushed down!

You might be able to fix it by carefully sticking part of a strip of scotch tape to it and then gently pulling up.

from that thread they said blow it from behind till it pops out and thats what happened!!!
