iPod Video 5.5 Gen EQ makes bass sound very muddy

Does anyone else have this issue with iPods? Because my other iPod nano has the same issue. But my nano 6G sounds totally fine when I use EQ. It's only when I use my video 5.5 and nano 4th gen. Maybe the Wolfson chips? If anyone knows how to fix or do anything about this please tell.

Just went through most of the Eqs and Latin makes the bass freakin amazing not muddy or anything. Actually cleaned up the highs also! biggrin.gif

Go Rockbox the 5.5G, then get back to us. Besides, your discussing outdated tech. Only Rockbox can save it.

I tried to rockbox it but it said my device wasn't able to be rockbox'd? I'll try again 2moro after school. I have had rockbox before, on my iPod nano 1g 1gb it was amazing.

The 5.5G can be Rockboxed, I've done it to many an iPod video. Use the installer: RockboxUtility
