Audeze LCD-3 Impressions Thread - Page 42

They get better as they break in to the point where, for sonics, almost any position sounds great. Just guessing, but they eventually sound like the music is just falling easily out of the drivers w/o having to be "forced out" by the amp.

And then you just position them for the best comfort. Mine sound great pushed either forward or backward, drooping down or tight and high. I honestly can't find a position to make them sound less than spectacular.

This is not so with other headphones.

Yep! Right after my SR-009s, the LCD-3s are #2 on my all-time list!

I've been away from Head-Fi for awhile.  But, I appreciate my LCD-3 so much, I thought I'd post here again.

I'm listening to them now and WOW.

I also wondered about 2 things, actually 3 [dac, amp, cables].

My DAC is Musical Fidelity's VDAC-II, my amp is the Schitt Mjolnir, and I'm using the stock balanced cable.

I don't have anything to compare this setup to, I was wondering if there's an even better sound possible (which is hard to imagine!) with a more matched set-up for the LCD-3.

Just to share my joy of listening to these LCD-3 now well done (1 month listening). They are BEAUTIFULL coupled with Bryston headphone amp continuing to break, Happy happy happy! Have difficulties to go sleeping every evening for 1 month now, so beautifull music coming out!!! If I could get back all the money I spend on all other cans untill reaching this one these would be not that expensive.

Out of curiosity which other headphones did you have before LCD-3?  The other headphones are part of the journey that allows you to enjoy the LCD-3 even more wink.gif.

I joined the LCD-3 club today. They were a little difficult to find as Audeze is back ordered and waiting on a shipment of parts. I am waiting until tonight to try them out. Trying to psyche myself I guess.

Audeze revamped their website recently.  Now they've got some decent photos of the LCD-3, with both lambskin and faux suede.  This will definitely assist me in spending my money.  I thank the Audeze web designers very much.

I just upgraded my V dac II for a Yulong D18 DAC.

It is a major improvement,I can tell you

It's just had 5 hours playtime, but allready stomps the V Dac II on all territories.

If you own something like a LCD3 or, like me, a HD800,the source has to be on pair.
