I've contacted Audeze and they have confirmed they will send me a spacer.

On another note the suspension strap for my LCD3s arrived and increases the comfort level by a factor of 9000. For the first time ever i can wear my LCD3's and forget i have them on. Very happy with it and it also fixed the ear touching on the pads but am still going to try the spacer and see if it improves further.

Sweet! How did you get one? Are they taking orders? Cheers

Are you going to the NZ meet?

I am going with my LCD-3C / Arcam DAC / Oppo HA-1 and Woo WA22.

I just launched a support case with Audeze for the Fazor touching my ear.

They replied explaining about the spacer and asked for my address as they are going to send one free of charge.

hahah oppsy! The strap i got from another head-fi member called Lohb. If you PM him with your location he will let you know the cost of the item and shipping (i think mine was about 35USD with shipping to New Zealand and arrived with in a week from Thailand!) They are really easy to install and man it makes a massive difference.

I will post a photo once im home from work.

One thing to note is that i used to have my LCD 3s on the 3rd notch (so 2 sticking out the bottom) now with the strap i listen on notch 5 (so 4 sticking out the bottom) so you may want to get the extended yokes if you are already listening on notch 6.

I got my (used) LCD-3F only three days ago and only two months after I bought the LCD-2F. The LCD-3 is incredibly good in my opinion. So good that I slept for less than 6 hours every night since then! :-)

I am impressed by the quality difference between these cans. Some people describe them sounding very similar and the LCD-3 about 15 % oder 20 % better than the LCD-2 (however they can measure this...). To me the quality difference is much greater. My LCD-3 has deeper, higher impact and more dynamic bass, much warmer and more revealing mids and smoother, less grainy treble. It is darker than the LCD-2, but nevertheless offers a wider and deeper stage. It really shines with the Auralic Taurus MKII and it is my first headphone that sound best to me completely un-equalized. I am very happy. Finally my odyssey comes to an and with this Audezè.

It is interesting you remarked about un-equalized. I am using the Arcam irDAC and that has a nice warm sound to it and for the first time ever I feel that I don't have to equalize also. The LCD-3 is just right. I find my Solid State amp nice and my tube selections for my tube amp is tending towards neutral. I want a second set of cans but I know the LCD-3 will just not be beaten. Hell I might just go and buy another set of LCD-3's. :D

Yeah, I might buy a second set of LCD-3s too. I could hardly imagine being a few weeks without them if I would have to send them for repair or so.

Well. I have the older version "Classic". So when I've been looking for something to compliment I've been thinking of getting the fazor version. Then I will have both. :gs1000smile:

You will like the fazor version. I am very sensitive to edgy treble, so I do not like many headphones because of their 8-10kHz peaks. Even the LCD-2 is not perfect for me in this respect. Absolutely no problem here with the LCD-3F. The Fazor is a big step forward regarding soundstage.

Very nice to know. Thanks.
