Tried on my fitear, the hiss is quite bad.

You did? Funny I'm listening to this exact pairing and it is absolutely pitch black. Not sure if you are listening to the hiss in the recording or what......

My fitear does hiss on the theorem 720, the m8, or the alo rx mk3...

Here's something funny. Lots of seats on airplanes have power now. So, I use the iPhone square plug and the Kindle cord to charge the AK240 to make sure I have enough juice.  While sitting on the ground, there is a hum that is quite noticeable with the 334s, ( I don't use the Miracles till in flight when I don't have to communicate with anyone:) and only when I touch the plug does the hum go away. Its almost like I am grounding the AK thru the plug of the 334. I also notice that I can touch metal with the plug it goes away too.

I'm pretty sure that once the plane takes off, the hum disappears.....electricity goes off during take off and then comes back on.  Weird, yea>?  I will confirm the hum disappears after take off next week.

Any ideas?

***Just realized this is the LCD3 thread.......oh well.......i posted on the AK also. I did not on the 334 because its a AK240 issue IMO.

Hi all. I am looking to purchase the LCD-3 from Woo Audio since the price seems to be the same everywhere, but Woo Audio comes with a free headphone stand. Does anyone know if the LCD-3s they are shipping have
the fazor technology or are they still shipping older stock?

If i do order from them what's the quickest way to check if mine has fazors? Thanks!!

To my knowledge, they are fazored these days. You can feel the fazor by running your fingers on the inside of the ear cups. You will feel a slit- like contraption. That's the fazor.

Maybe it wasn't the box, it might have been on my receipt. I will check the box when I get back home (later today.)

Ok, thanks. Please check and let me know since I checked my box again and nothing :)

anyone recommend speakers that sound similar to the LCD-2 or 3 line? Especially in regards to gorgeous vocal reproduction.

I guess the most straight-forward recommendation would be Magnepans. They come in a variety of sizes and cost.

Personal opinion coming. I just recently listened to Diana Krall through the Bowers & Wilkins PM-1's and they sounded really good to me, I mean like I'm in the studio with her good.

Nice! There prolly aint nothing that can do bass like the audeze's tho. especially not the maggies. My dad has those and they sound very VERY natural. like i've never heard a piano sound more real. But they seem to lack impact. He has a subwoofer but Idk it just doesn't seem to slam like my own dynamic speakers. but i think they're not set up properly (big room)

I think the lack of impact your talking about is the fact that your not pushing air in volumes like you are with traditional dynamic speakers. You want slam, well I used to have a "Voice of the Theatre" speaker with a giant horn on it, in my basement studio. F•••ing GD loud my man. You could feel your liver trying to jump out of your body.
