Im listening to Money for Nothing, Dire Straits, and the resolution is amazing, But the low bass line, is hardly audible. It should be, as you said, the foundation of the song. Bass is important! :)

Anyway thanks for all the replies. Its probably the amp I should look to improve.

Yeah, but also consider that compared to many newer tracks, that one is on the cuff of being recorded a bit bass lite...or newer tracks bump up the bass becasue most people got speakers that are lite on bass - either scenario is not false.  Sounded a bit lite when played through my speakers tuned for newer tracks.  Nevertheless a great track.

Well, I had a very late magical evening with the LCD3's and the Stratus last night.  I was up until about 2am, which for a guy that is normally asleep by 10:30 says something.

I had a great evening listening with my other favorite audio accessory:

A heavy, meaty whiskey with a heavy meaty can.  :beerchug:

I'm like a headphone sommelier!

The Lampi + a SS amp would be a great match..  Why you need another DAC - unless you just want one..

The Lampi has tubes and I want to get a totally SS setup.  If I am going to fire up the Lampi, I might as well fire up the Stratus too.

I think the HD800's will always be my go to cans, but to me, they live best with tubes so a SS amp for them wasn't something that interested me (plus it was an excuse to get a new pair of headphones!!).  The LCD3's sound great with the Stratus, there is no doubt about that!  I'm thinking about a Rag, but who isn't and how long will it take to get one?  Hence the search...  Considering an M9 or something a lot more pragmatic like a NFB-28 (need a DAC too) but I really don't know.  I had my heart set on HE6's and a Krell KAV-400xi until I tried the LCD3's so I am really green when it comes to good amps with the Audezes - any advice?

If you have The chance , please try Mass KoBo 394 , This My best SS now can drive My LCD 3 F , LCD X and LCD XC and even My hard to drive Abyss Im excellent sound quality IMO

Wow, nice looking amp!
Seem like you have a special S/N 888888 as well...
I would love to get that S/N :-)
I know it wouldn't effect SQ, but still it's nice to have

Yup, I can relate that too!
I'm Indonesian Chinese as well, but living at Melbourne for the past 17 years.
I got lucky with my hd800 s/n 18888 purchased here at my local shop. The shop owner would like to keep it for his personal pair, but at the end, I'm able to pursuade him to sell it to me. I can't hear the difference though with other pair s/n 14xxx or s/n 25xxx, but still nice to have.

I'm not that lucky with lcd-x though s/n 7454988, but it's alright I guess.

I am really on the fence with trying to decide on trading in my LCD3(c) for the X. I would just like a little more airiness and sparkle in the highs. While keeping the bass response. So the question: Would it be better to just send in my 3s to fazored rather than trade in for the X? OR would it be advisable to just wait for a [possible?] LCD4?

My current LCD3s sound really really nice and I could just listen  and be happy. Which may be the best thing to do... Anyone have the fazored LCD3 and compared to the LCD X? Especially sound staging?

Thanks...

I sent my LCD3 to Audeze for the fazor upgrade.
The result was unbelievable.
The headphones sounded much transparent, the highs sparkled, and I could differentiate sounds I never noticed before.

I never heard the LCD X, but I can tell you for sure that the fazor upgrade will make your LCD3 a completely new headphone.

How long did you listen to the unfazored 3 before you decided to upgrade? Do you have to open an RMA? Thanks.
