Aside from that, why not just spend $50k on a MSB Diamond DAC tomorrow and get yourself some $100k monoblocks to drive your headphones? I'm sure if you follow the logic of moar expensive = better than you should be done with your upgrades.

i don't sell drugs, launder money, write laws, or come from a rich muslim family, sorry. i am too poor to afford such luxuries

I think this hobby and the negative influences from Head-fi has drove you into a state where you've become delusional and care more about gear than music enjoyment itself.

Very sad. :(

Ah now don't start this GEAR OVER MUSIC debate again.

That is completely irrelevant to what I said, I wonder though and to all those others with multiples rigs because it's the latest Head-fi craze (aside from collectors), since you listen to your T1's the most, I do curiously wonder how much head-time you're other's headphones get or are they there just for looks?

I'm very glad I've received my own wake up call though.

He-500 sometimes for electronic, but not much use.

LCD-3 sometimes, mostly for movies and when i need want that warmth.

HD 800 and T1 used the most by far.

TH-900 for rap sometimes and for work

T1 for anything and everything.

+1 to the multi rig thing making no sense what so ever.  If I ever had more than one rig, it would be a duplicate of what I like best and since we're talking headphones... I'd you know pick it up and walk over to the other rig :P

but alot of ppl have multiple rigs, its the cool new thing to do

plus that way i can have a different presentation of music and/or a better matching amp depending on the headphones.

some ppl even have different dacs for different rigs, multiple rigs is def the way to go nowadays. i just want 1 tube and 1 SS for now.

GSX2 will be the SS, and the tube will be one of the upper woos, or a stratus, maybe even a kavalli amp

Imo, there should be no argument here. Everyone has their own preferences, and different ways to enjoy things. It's like having a work truck, a daily driver, and a sports car. Nothing wrong with owning multiple cars, why should there be something wrong with owning multiple rigs? Arguing against this point by saying one should get the rig he/she likes most is the analogous to, you should've just bought your favourite car with the money you spent on the three different cars. Some people do this, some people don't. Don't try to project your own preferences and priorities on to others.

Also, by saying there is no such thing as perfection so one should not chase it, would actually support having multiple rigs rather than one rig that is always subject to chasing for perfection....
