I feel nostalgic whenever I listen to music through this DAC/amp as it was my first venture into head-fi after reading (literally 100s of) pages of the ZeroDac thread. Alas I have upgraded slightly (after 3 years) and so now need to sell.
This is a great entry-level amp/DAC as many will know with a few of its own 'quirks'. I also used it to feed desktop powered speakers through the pre-outs at the back which was lovely and convenient.
I haven't done any mods really other than replace the stock opamps in the amp and DAC and snip the high freq. filters on the pre-outs. I prefer the sound this way but can be easily put back if people prefer the more muffled presentation.
Inside is the Earth HDAM in the DAC and LM4562 in the amp section. I've included a load more opamps so people can tweak to suit their headphones. I also have an OPA 627AU on BrownDog adapter (pictured) if someone wants to throw in some extra dosh!
I'm afraid I don't have feedback as I haven't bought or sold anything on here for a long time. My eBay profile james.anglican has my recent feedback if people would find that helpful.
