Any decent open headphone would be good. A closed headphone will make your ears hot with extended use. The HD238 would be good, however imo it isn't worth spending $100 for a headphone for tv watching. The PX100-ii is $41 so that is more reasonable pricewise. I guess you will also probably need a long headphone extension cord. I guess I would buy something like the Koss KTXpro1 for around $15 to watch tv. If you are using it in your bedroom next to your spouse, an open headphone may leak too much sound, and you might need to use a closed one. Some people use the $13 closed JVC HARX300(8.2' cord) or the JVC HARX500($21, 10 foot cord) for watching tv. The closed $11 JVC HAS160 doesn't isolate as well as the HARX300, however since its earpads are smaller, it is less likely to overheat your ears. The HAS160 is also much smaller than the HARX300 or HARX500, so it would be better for portable use.the Sennheiser PX200-ii is similar in size to the JVC HAS160 and is also closed, however the PX200-ii is bassier and is much higher priced than the HAS160.  With the HARX300 or HARX500, you might not need a headphone extension cord when watching tv.
