Which voltage Schiit Lyr to get if you live in the UK?

115V or 230V?

Does which voltage you go with affect the power output?

What is the point of this option?

The option is there to cover the fact our mains supply is 230v ac. If you plugged a 110v product into 230v you'd kill it outright. As for affecting output it shouldn't.

Yes, plugging an amp rated for US voltage into a UK outlet would probably destroy it.

Is it ok to buy 230V and use it in 115V region?

No, you cannot buy 230 volt stuff and use it in a 115 Volt region.

The equipment will probably not be damaged, but it will not work.

However..................Lately (in the past 10 years or so) a lot of equipment has been released which works at any voltage between 100-240 volts, and works at 50 or 60 Hz,  for example, my computer power supply, my camera battery chargers, etc.

This information will be posted on the nameplate.
