1964-Q Sub-Bass

I'm trying to find a custom that will give me the same sound signature as my Denon 2k's. Do the quads have the sub-bass I'm looking for? I've seen some mixed reviews reguarding the low end of the quads and the tripples.

The UM Merlin will match well with bass qualities of D2000 and they offers deep punchy dynamic bass response.

So in your experance the 1964 line is lacking?

There is no way the 1964-Q is lacking sub-bass (unless the Quad that person has is defective somehow).

I had the 1964Q but recently sold them. They had great bass but were only decent with sub-bass. That's a drawback with BA drivers. A custom that uses a dynamic driver for bass is what you're looking for. In my experience, dynamic driver iems are much better at reproducing low bass.
