Do fake Monster Turbine earphones sound as good as the original ones?

I have heard that fake one's have more bass compared to original ones. What are about mid's and treble?

Don't know about the Turbines, but the fakes from the Beats range sound very similar to the original.

 

If anything, I think the bass is a bit tighter than the original, though the fake ones have a lot of sibilance up high.

 

Maybe burning in will help, but never bothered to do so...

I highly doubt it. I had a pair of fake Beats Tours and they were horrid. The real version is much better.

i know monster takes a beating here on head-fi quite often and mostly its well deserved since most of its product range is very overpriced for the quality and sound it offers.

 

But for ****s sake. take care of your ears. fake earphones dont get balanced or quality controled. they are badly soldered and with parts sourced from basicly the waste bin.

 

Get something cheaper with good sound quality and that you dont risk hurting your hears. theres crap you dont play with.

 

Dont **** with your ears, eyes, back and feet.

and getting fake headphones is ******* with your ears as far as i know.

Most likely not. Turbines actually do have a good reputation on Head Fi and other audio forums, even if they're a tad overpriced. They're acceptable options if you find them on sale <$100.
