Anyone know what closed cans would be closest to Ety HF5(and ER4P)? A bit more mid forwardness wouldn't hurt though, I boost 3dB@1k on my HF5.

Bought these on whim, for your basic train ride to work I don't mind. But its far from being the best I have own.

First, I should note that I auditioned these both straight out of the box, without any break-in time and then later after 53 hours of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite...

A very all-round headphone for me. Just the right one to take on the go or on holiday. Also as a DJ, nice noice isolation. Very durable so you don't have to wonder if it will break if you throw...

This quick review is done after a few hours of listening. I bought them from B&H for the decent sum of 150$. If you've done your research you'll find out that Ultrasone HPs are known for their...

I auditioned the SRH-1840 straight out of the box, and was unsatisfied with the sound, so I decided to give them a period of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite differences...

I'm looking at Fostex T50RP and Beyer DT250-250Ohm. Anyone used these as well as Ety's?

What's your budget and music preference?
About 150 USD. I listen to a pretty wide range of music Rock, jazz some classical, 1960s to current recordings. I'm sure I'd like HD600 and K240DF but need closed right now for tracking, monitoring etc.

Some on the Shure headphones are great, and the Denon AH-2000's are good.
If you're not adverse to using an equalizer, the KRK KNS 6400 is an excellent choice for micro-detail and monitoring purposes, and is fully closed. They just significantly lack bass, so you'll have to boost more to them. Only about $80-90 new. They're a bit closer to the HF5 sound than the T50RP (having used all three), though the T50RP are an excellent mid-centric choice, or if you're a modder.

Thanks guys, I'll read up one the suggestions. Another one I've started to consider: German Maestro GMP 8.300 D
