Tokyo: first (Fujiya-Avic) headphone amp festival - Sunday 2012/1/29

Dear head-fiers:

 

The Fujiya-Avic store, well known for organizing huge headphone festivals over the recent years in Tokyo twice a year is now having a stop-gap festival organized for the first time. My understanding is that, while the traditional fall and spring headphone festivals are prominently geared toward headphone and other earphones, this show in January is more focused on headphone amps. Date: January 29, 2012 (Sunday)

Location: The show I will be held as usual at the Stadium Place in Toyama: http://www.sp-aoyama.jp/access/index.html . Here's the link on google maps: ビジョンオフィス株式会社

Start/end time: 10:30 - 17:00

 

The second important piece of information: Sasaki-san has graciously arranged with Fujiya to let us (head-fiers) have a small room to gather up, display our gear, and get a good opportunity to meet and make new friends! I don't have the details yet on the room size but I expect it would at least hold 5 or 6 individual user tables. I am planning on bringing my rig over.

Just to be clear, Arnaud meant Aoyama (not Toyama, which is quite far from Tokyo!)

I'm going to have to bail on this one I'm afraid. Planning was left too late for me to bring anything useful and I'm extremely busy this week.  I hope I can bring some interesting gear to the next one.

How old is your child? I may bring my 2 year old so that I don't tie up my wife and her mother at home. Was originally planning on bringing my rig over but since few people will make it, we just decided to cancel the small room we had for that purpose. As of now, only anakchan and myself will go it appears, it'd be very nice to meet you there.

Hi frenchbat, we're planning to meet at around 3PM at the entrance of the building.  The event closes at 5PM and we may go for an early dinner afterwards. Please PM by tomorrow if possible if you can make it to the meet and/or after!

Thanks for coming anakchan, it was really nice to see everybody again and meet new cool people. Certainly hope we will all meet again at the next one, or before! Will post very very brief impression later on, maybe we'll need a new thread ...
