ive only had the hd600 2 tw0 days, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. the hd598 feels flimsy and weak, its such a shame because they are one of the nicest phones ive ever seen in pics. in the flesh they arent as nice looking. whereas the hd600 looks and feels durable and well made. the marble finish looks alot nicer in the fresh biggrin.gif

and sound wise i strongly prefer the hd600 L3000.gif

So how's the bass with the hd600's compared to the hd598's? The base should also become more pronounced after 24 hours of listening. What about comfort, are the ear cups more plush and are the headphones too tight? Those are problems I had with the hd598's.

 If you found the HD598's tight fitting on the head then I strongly recommend you start running as fast as you can

 away from the HD600 and HD650 for that matter.

I prefer the tight clamp of the 600. The 598 felt too loose and i didn't like the pads. 600 pads feel so much softer and seem to fit my ears better. I have a small head, i wish my m50s clamped harder.
as for bass i haven't really compared them. the 600 seems to have better quality bass, though the 598 has a better punch to it
