Hi,
I was planning on getting the C710 but found the C560r for half the price. Now I'm curious whether anyone here has had the chance to listen to both and could perhaps elaborate on some differences and similarities. Thanks in advance!!

Bump :)
I have only heard the 560R but read about the 710 a lot as well. Myself and an owner of the 710 came to the conclusion the 710 was sharper and harder hitting in the bass with sharper treble from the way I was hearing the 560R and he was hearing the 710.
I can say the 560R is a bit boomy in the bass but quite nice. I have mine up for sale but am still listening to them when I want a nice bassy sound. The mids are also nice albeit slightly recessed in comparison to the treble and bass, a definite V or U shaped sound.
If you have an iphone or newer model ipod I would say get the 560R because of the mic and controls which are very handy. If your using just a regular MP3 player or a computer headphone jack you might want to go 710 as the 560R (and every iphone compatible headphone I have owned) can sometimes need to be pulled out slightly to get a proper connection with the bands on the jack which can be a pain in the neck as you walk around.
So would you say the 560R suffices for electronic music (punchy bass) and female vocalists at the same? These are the two most important reasons for why I settled on getting a C710 in the first place...
Thanks for any help!

Female vocalists would be good, not sure about punchy bass though. What headphones have you been using so far?
