Fidelity quad Vs. 1964 quad.

Hey all. I've been looking into getting some custom IEMs, and after looking around and getting a recommendation from a friend of mine, I was planning to purchase some Fidelity quads. But I see complaint after complaint on here about fidelity not delivering, and I know they've recently lost their BBB accreditation. Needless to say, I've got some concern about buying from them, which leaves me, once again, shopping around for a different IEM.

1964's quads seem to be pretty well liked around here, and they seem like a pretty solid choice to me. What do you all think? What other options do I have in this price range?

I plan to use these primarily as a monitor for playing live, but I'll definitely be using them for music listening too. I think I'd prefer a pretty even, uncolored sound, due to the wide variety of things I'll be using them for. Keep in mind, this is my first pair of customs, and will likely be my last for a long time.

Any advice or experience is appreciated, thanks everyone!

When thinking of the 1964 Q it brings the aud-5X to my mind due to the similar price range.  You can read all of my reviews here.

I would advise reading and trying to see which custom matches your sound preferences best within your price range.

Don't buy from Fidelity, that would be crazy.

Other choices to google and research are choices from Clear Tune Monitors and customs from Heir Audio, there are reviews of options from both on head-fi as well.
