What would be the best cans for me? - Page 3

I'm considering also, buy a PRO's 900 or Beyerdynamic DT990, i'll plug them in a fiio e10.

I usually listen to R&B, Soul, Pop, Rap, Rock and Country.

Any advice to make my decision easier?

The DT770s 32 ohms would be great for the music types you listed.

Alright, I've jumped on the Ultrasone Pro 900's for 310 dollars shipped from Amazon. Can't wait to see how they perform.

Lol, before even seeing this post I had already ordered this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004QVPGXK/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details - good deal I'd say.

I dislike on ear headphones though

The Ultrasone pro 900's sound amazing. I was expecting some sort of mind blowing bass..these are not it...HOWEVER... They give out plenty of it (esp w/cloth cups) and its the cleanest bass I've ever heard...Its perfect for gaming and my music because its not overpowering yet its definitely there, and extremely enjoyable. The highs are sparkly, clear and sound amazing, mids are a tiny bit recessed - however - that is what I prefer! Thank you all for the recommendation, these are incredible....showing me bass quality is far better than quantity any day.. ;)

You just wait till those babies burn in. The bass really starts to extend down there after a few hundred hours.

Really good to know thanks, I'm in love! (shh don't tell my lady)

Actually, the whole sound matured a lot IMO with burn in. The highs were kind of harsh at first, and the mids recessed, and those problems basically fixed themselves. The bass went through phases on mine, where sometimes is was big, and sometimes little, and sometimes boomy... But it settled in perfectly.

Nice, good to know I bought such a quality set of cans, and at $300 dollars brand new paired with an Asus Xonar STX pushing OPA2134's I'm in audio heaven at the moment;)
