It can be done without leaving a gap (see pic below from a chinese site, I actually got inspired by this to get it done). To be fair to Brian, he did tell me that he had never done it before so I knew there was a risk it may not turn out perfectly. He also installed mini xlr's on my T1, which turned out perfect.

I see. Hope that doesn't give you an eye sore for it's imperfection.

CalvinXC - glad to hear you've gotten your headphones back.[

I sent my Westone 3's out to have the removable cable mod done to them. I also bought the Midnight CIEM cable from him. I emailed him on 10/28. Less than 3 hours later he responded with an invoice. I haven't heard anything back since then and he also hasn't responded to my emails. His site still says 3 week turnaround as well. I don't need frequent updates, but at least a confirmation that he is working on them (or that he even has the headphones but is busy at the moment) would be more than enough. I don't want a rushed product, and even after 5 weeks of waiting I don't mind waiting some more. I just want some communication as to what's happening.

If he is a student and is truly busy with school, he should say so on his website. I understand his school comes first, and I wish him the best of luck in his studies, but keeping your customers in the dark is never a good idea...

I sent nothing for Brian to mod, just ordered some cables and a 3" interconnect. My order is very "cheap" if compared to those guys that sent their TOTL stuff to get modded by him. So I can't say much. Maybe my order is on the way to me by air or it's still with Brian I got no idea. What can I do? I can just wait for it.

Well now it has been close to 8 weeks since I paid for my cable. No response to multiple email messages sent to Brian.

I am real close to contacting the card company and withdrawing the payment.

Posting here obviously does not do much, but hopefully it is a warning to others that may want to order from BTG.

At this point, don't do it unless your patience is unlimited and you don't mind someone holding your money for months and never communicating with you.

What did you order from him? If a cable or something then I'd try and cancel. Unfortunately, I can't cancel my order as he still has my headphones.

I'd suggest calling his house , in my instance it seemed to give him the hurry on he needed.

The number is easy enough to find online , not on his site but by using white pages.

Would you mind sending me a PM with that number. I can't seem to find anything.

In his defense, he did email me today, telling me he had my headphones and that he's behind on orders.

Brian's prices are pretty much unrivaled by any other custom cable company, so he is bound to be busy with loads of cables and mods at once. I do mods constantly and have to find the time to do it, I can't imagine how he gets it all done and still has a short turn around time. If you get your headphones modded and have them back within a month, or have a cable built and delivered to you in 2 weeks, be ecstatic. He spent some serious time and energy getting it done right for you, the customer.
