Looking for a decent replacement to my S4

Hi,

For the last year and a half I’ve enjoyed the Klipsch image S4 earbuds till suddenly the cable start doing some problems.

I'm looking for a replacement at a budget of 150$, most important that the new ones would be as comfortable as the S4.

I saw that a month ago there was a great deal at Amazon on the X10 (around 100$) but unluckily I’ve missed it.

So, any recommendations? I'm looking for the same type as the S4, but open for any suggestion. Only new and not used.

Thanks,

Aviram.

You might still be able to score an X10 on head-fi within your price range.  I think people are still selling NIB.  Looks like eBay would be within your price range too, as people are flipping their Black Friday purchases for just a little above what they paid.

Also, Compusa had the S5i for $56 or so through a coupon code a couple of weeks back, but without the coupon code it should be $99.  MSRP is $129 I believe, still within your range.  I haven't heard the S4, but I think it's the same earphone.  S5i is intended to be a more robust design: weatherproof and rugged with a sturdier cable.  It's got iPhone controls though, so hopefully that won't be an issue for you.

Comfort of these is implied, since they have the same small nozzle and oval tips as your S4.

Look on Amazon. 120 new from individual sellers. Or only like $20 more if you prefer to buy from Amazon themselves.

The JVC FXT90 are easy to wear and they sound crisp clear and very detailed with punchy bass and good upgrade over S4. The other IEMs like EX600, HSA Crystal, HF3, HF5, FX500, UE700 are recommended and they all offers great soundquality.

I could not found the FXT90 at Amazon. So far I'm impressed with the UE700, how are they comparing with the JVC ones? and with the X10?

Thanks again,

Aviram.
