Can I use a DAC?

Would it be possible (& worth) hooking up my Archos 500 gb tablet to a DAC? It has a micro USB Input and two other Archos specified (I think) inputs. I'm not sure if these inputs have any possible hope of transfering the data adequately to a DAC....

(https://store.archos.com/archos-internet-tablet-p-5007.html) <-- the inputs on the bottom of the device are the one's that make me wonder.350

Hmm..Do you have any other USB soundcard/devices you can hook up and see if they work?  Like a USB headset or something?

1. have a micro-USB to USB cord

and

2. if it will would work adequately, or at all (I'm guessing that's the test you were suggesting?)

The USB port are probably useless as far as adding a USB DAC is concerned, the Archos unit is designed as a USB slave while it requires it to be designed as a USB host.

Apparently there's a accessry called the "DVR Station" at $69 that plugs into the ports at the bottom, t also apparently has an S/PDIF out which you can plug into any DAC.
