You missed the part where I left his chart alone and added mine where I thought they matched best. On equal systems I'd say the bass is similar in volume, they just happened to remind me more of the HD600.

This thread is way off-topic. It's supposed to be about the relative merits of the bass and treble of the SR-009 and LCD-3, not an HD800 defense thread.

 

But to paddle with the current, the HD800 can sound thin/anemic at first when you are coming from listening to the LCD-2 for any length of time. But on it's own I find them to be quite neutral and highly rewarding, not thin at all.

 

Perhaps we should change the name of this thread tongue.gif
