np on angry thing just did not want to be the cause of argument ..... i feel your pain on firmware my primary portable music player is my sony mz-m200 minidisc recorder have to keep a computer around with windows xp to run sonicstage for it just to up load new mp3 songs to it ......

Yeah, I finally got Rockbox loaded on the my Clip after about two hours of work around 9:30. It's worth it, though, because now I can modify almost every tonal aspect of my music straight from the portable source.
