Looking for a temporary solution to record synth

Hi, I'm looking for something cheap to record my synth with. I was thinking of M-Audio Fast Track Pro since it has all the things I need: mic input, 2 instrument inputs and MIDI I/O.

It costs 180 euros at a local store, that's the budget I'm willing to use on it. Does anyone have any other recommendations? How much difference the price makes for ADC quality?

Another thing I was wandering about, do I need 2 inputs for my synth? Since I can't find any panning knobs on it, it should have a mono signal?

Depends on the synth... many have stereo outs though - even if only dual mono signals.

We use one of the M-audio units, and it should be more than sufficient.

Well it has a headphone out, which is stereo and then it has multiple mono outs. Also 1 other thing that is bothering me, is it possible to make M-audio inputs route to my main DAC-s (yulong d100) output? In other words, both would be connected to my computer, but while I'm making the synth, I want to listen it through yulong so I wouldn't have to change cables to do so.

If you set your computer so the Yulong is your output soundcard for everything (you may need an additional program to do this, depending on your computer) - then yes.

On the mac, we use a similar set up - with Audio Hijack Pro and SoundSource - we can monitor through a different dac than the input or system devices.
