I am a recording engineer and have used many different brands of headphones over the years.

 

I currently own two pairs of AKGs-one K240 for studio/recording and a pair that is geared more for DJing and leisure listening but cant remember the model-a few pairs of low budget Sony's, a pair of Stanton DJ phones, and an original Monster Beats by Dre.  

 

So what I'm looking for is something over ear, used for commutes and city walking that work well with classic rock, punk rock, hip hop, jazz, and electronic music.  Budget in the $200-$400 range.  And most importantly, that look good on a small noggin, not bulging at the sides or raised on the top.  I don't care what it looks like in the house or studio when working, but out and about I don't want to look like a dweeb.

 

Any suggestions are welcome.
