I've an IMac PC as a gift for Christmas and I am entertaining the idea to get a decent amp that is compatible with the Apple PC (?).

 

Currently, I am using the glass Toslink from the I Mac to the Yamaha RX A 1000 optical input for 2 channel audio. My source is pretty much Internet Pandora and Spotify and some HD radio. The sound is pretty decent via the small Energy RC10 speakers but the heaphone output is not the Yamaha strong suit as the Pioneer A 35r intergrated amp.

 

 

I have read some praise the Schiit, and Burson but I am looking for feedback from Apple users for portabe and full size SS amp.
