Just thought i'd get your feedback on this.

I own AKG 81s and sony v500. My friend was STOKED on these beats pros (the metal ones) that he got on some site for like 100$ so I was looking forward to the chance of showing how my 50$ headphones kicked the crap out of his knockoff fashion headphones.

When it came down to it I was actually really impressed with the sound quality of them. I would say that they were better than both the headphones I owned. The sound probably wasn't everyones cup of tea, very bassy and warm sounding. Didn't exactly have the same accuracy as the sonys for some types of music but they were surprisingly clear. I have heard the plastic beats before and they sound very rolled off on the high end and these headphones didn't have this problem.

I think these pretty easily compare to some 200$+ headphones on the market. not at all what I expect from a fake pair.

Any chance these are the real deal? I heard a demo at a local store once however they were hardwired into the display and playing a song I did not recognize so its hard to compare. I was thinking that the stores push these headphones so hard that maybe 100$ is the real cost and they are just making insane markup on them?

has anybody heard both the fake and the real pair and can shed some light? Obviously there is a clear moral issue with fake vs real headphones but I thought that this was a unique case and perhaps there is something I was not considering.
