I would like to make some home grown speakers for an old laptop that just serves as a web radio. My idea is to add an amplifier to each speaker -- a pair of nice 6ohm 20w speakers I already have. My question is this: can anyone point me in the right direction for a how to build a 6ohm 40w amplifier? or where I can purchase a kit?

I don't know if they are 6 ohm amplifiers, but if you check parts-express.com, they have plate amplifier kits for speakers.
